Route Change Update

Due to the fact that there is little interest in repeating the somewhat craggy Skiddaw Loop in 2017, I have decided to offer an alternative route. It’s the fantastically craggy Borrowdale Bash, brief details of which follow here…

The route heads south of Keswick to Seatoller and back, taking in both shores of Derwent Water. At 17 miles it’s relatively short but is demanding and will comfortably take all day to complete. Full of stunning countryside and teeth jarring descents, it will be popular with some and something to avoid by others.

I realise interest in this alternative route will be limited to the ‘thrill seekers’ only and as such will be limiting places available to just 6. I will hire a ‘crew-cab’ style van and use Keswick YHA for our accommodation and meals.

Contact me if you find this route attractive and want to come and join in.

I’ll be adding more details later, in the meantime here is something to wet your appetite…
