  1. Stunning scenery around Kielder and more challenging than anticipated so a good surprise of a few hills. Delightful valley ride out of Kielder village on Thursday morning and into Scotland. Very nice easy ride into Newcastleton. The tea and cakes were excellent. Afternoon ride was a mixture of bone shaking road and fast downhill after reaching the peak-so satisfying to be free of the body massage. Excellent slo-cooker meals and pancakes (maple syrup and cream was an exquisite discovery for me) as well as regimentally prepared eggs and bacon. Sleep wise-I am catching up now-all in all a satisfying change change and well worth the downside of snorers and trumpet voluntaries from some individuals-Bob

  2. Half a league, half a league, half a league onward, Into the valley of Kielder rode the 14 cyclists. Forward the bike brigade, charge for those trails he said. Into the valley of mirth rode the 14 cyclists.

A fabulous trip with comfortable accommodation well positioned for the fabulous vista. Great scenery, weather and starry, starry skies. (could only have been improved by the addition of Aurora Borealis)
Compliments to the chef for the casseroles and Irene and team for the wonderful pancakes. Big thank you to Bob for being our jolly singing bus driver. There were many highlights… the sights and sounds of Kielder… the reward of an exhilarating down hill ride after the challenging rocky road assent and for one, getting to ride our leaders own bike for a few miles. The fun and laughs in the company of a great group of people.
The high standard of the tour from beginning to end has us wondering how Neil manages to make it all go so smoothly. Well done and a big thank you to Neil.
